Sinkhole damage a museum attractionIn February this year GEOZ 85 reported the loss of eight corvettes after a sinkhole opened up under the national corvette museum in Kentucky, USA. All eight vehicles have been recovered but five of them are too badly damaged to repair. However, the up-side is that the damaged vehicles represent a unique event and as a result are a tourist attraction in their own right. The sinkhole also proved a tourist attraction but cost and safety concerns won the day. The hole will be totally filled in and the museum completely rebuilt.
